What You Will Do

Spearmint Energy is seeking a Power Market Fundamentals Analyst to assist with executing the company's strategy in advancing projects and/or portfolios of projects in battery energy storage, solar, and wind. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and project management skills and have some experience in the industry. This role will report directly into the Head of Research & Analytics.

 

 

Core Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Development team on research requests for acquisitions and greenfield projects.

Manage vendor site and revenue analysis for projects under consideration.

Utilize data sources, such as Velocity Suite and the EIA, to create reports.

Create Powerpoint presentations for board meetings and other ad hoc meetings as needed.

Support compliance with company policies in health, safety, security, equity, ethics, and governance.

 

Who You Are

Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree.

Experience (2 years) with researching US power grids, including working with ISO data.

Strong project management skills.

Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.  Some experience with Python and SQL.  This position will require writing simple SQL queries.

Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
